Key Responsibilities
As a Welder/Metal Fabricator at TW Fencing, you will play a crucial role in the production and assembly of metal components for our diverse range of fencing products. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Metal Fabrication: Utilize various metalworking tools and equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components according to project specifications. Reading Shop Drawings: Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements and ensure accurate fabrication. Welding: Proficiently perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques to join metal components securely. Quality Control: Conduct inspections of fabricated products to ensure they meet quality standards and client specifications. Material Handling: Manage and organize materials efficiently, including the proper storage and handling of metal stock. Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including project managers and installation teams, to ensure seamless coordination in the production process. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment. Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on fabrication tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Requirements
Proven experience as a Welder/Metal Fabricator or similar role. Proficiency in reading and interpreting shop drawings. Strong welding skills, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques. Familiarity with various metal types, including steel and aluminium. Ability to operate and maintain metalworking tools and equipment. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent teamwork and communication abilities. Education And Certification
A relevant trade qualification in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred. Welding certifications are a plus.
A remuneration package is between $70,000 to $90,000 plus Superannuation will be negotiated depending on skills and experience.
