Purpose of the roleThe Warehouse Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations and activities of the Warehouse, expediting the receiving and shipping of goods and ensuring efficient, organised storage. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery, on-time performance, and customer satisfaction. Uphold and follow the Company's policies and procedures when addressing performance-related issues.Ensure that all employees are adequately trained and certified to perform their duties safely and effectively in accordance with legislation.OperationalOversee and manage the movement of goods and materials throughout the warehouse. Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products to customers. This entails monitoring shipments, optimizing routes, implementing quality control measures, and resolving any issues or delays that may arise to maintain smooth operations and customer satisfaction.Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.Oversee the tracking of stock and inventory levels by conducting regular physical counts to prevent stockouts or overstock situations maintaining optimum inventory levels. Set up and maintain warehouse layouts to ensure efficient space utilization.Establish and implement industry best practices and standards for the handling, storage, and transportation of dangerous goods. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while optimizing processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.At all times act with integrity, honesty, humbleness, helpfulness, and positivity in your dealings to maintain a workplace culture of collaboration and success.Work collaboratively with all internal departments to ensure seamless coordination across the company to meet customer requirements and business objectives. Cultivate strong relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, and customers and collaborate closely to address challenges, optimize processes, and drive mutual success.Ensure all QHSE requirements are being complied with and lead by example.ExperienceProven experience of 5+ years in managing distribution and logistics preferably in a relevant warehouse environment.Relevant qualifications in the field such as warehouse or logistics management.Solid understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, including inventory management, transportation, and distribution.Current forklift license.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and drive results.Computer literate with a demonstrated proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software applications.Commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, with a focus on creating a culture of excellence and accountability.To ApplyIf you have the skills, experience, and qualifications to make this role your own, click the APPLY NOW button to start your career path with a leading manufacturer.Please submit a written cover letter addressing your previous experiences to the criteria above, along with your current resume.
