A voluntary Retail Assistant supports the manager in charge, in the day-to-day operations of a Salvos Stores.
Salvos Stores is the retail arm of The Salvation Army and operates over 340 retail stores in Australia. Salvos Stores operates as a fully functioning retail business, recycling pre-loved goods and relying heavily on the generosity of the public.
Salvos Stores maintains a professional retail network and dedicated store staff and volunteers, professional Support and State Offices, a great team of retail managers, and a highly effective operations team.Willingness to promote and work in accordance with The Salvation Army’s
(and Salvos Stores) mission, vision and values, with particular regard to
excellence of service.

• Follow Policy & Procedures forCustomer Service

• Sorting and Pricing
• Sorting area is clear of all potential hazards
• OH&S procedures maintained whilst sorting
• Sorting area safely maintained, no potential hazards
• Merchandising and Display of Stock
• Place stock on shop floor in appropriate areas
• All stock displayed in correct departments
• Follow Housekeeping Policy & Procedures
• Clean store as per Manager’s instructions
• Designated areas are cleaned as requested
• Follow Workplace Health and Safety Policy and Procedures
• All Hazards reported immediately to line manager
• Accidents/incidents reported immediately to line manager
• Attend tool box meetings as rostered/required
• Hazards documented appropriately
