DescriptionJoin BlackRock's Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions team as Vice President, StrategistBlackRock's MASS group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vice President, Strategist to join our Sydney, Australia team. Our team of over 350 multi-asset investment professionals manage various strategies, including diversified funds, income, and customised mandates for a diverse client base. This group provides investment strategies and solutions that employ asset allocation, risk management, and extensive research to deliver specific outcomes tailored to client needs.As Vice President, Strategist, you will play a crucial role in our Solutions and Hedge Funds business pillars. Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you will collaborate closely with the broader MASS team, including the Portfolio Management and Client CIO teams. Key responsibilities include:Acting as a subject matter expert for Hedge Fund products, providing product commentary, performance attribution, and ongoing due diligence.Engaging with clients to understand their investment problems and objectives.Crafting investment solutions that meet client needs, including strategic asset allocations and portfolio optimization.Delivering presentations and updates on solutions, portfolios, and performance at client and consultant meetings.Maintaining a deep knowledge of the full suite of solutions offered by MASS and broader market themes and industry trends.Key Requirements:A degree or higher-level qualification and a proven track record of academic achievement.5+ years of experience in asset management or a similar field, preferably across multiple asset classes.Familiarity with a wide array of investment strategies and multi-asset investment concepts.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including proficiency in technology and coding.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with multiple audiences and adapt communication style accordingly.Benefits:BlackRock offers a wide range of benefits, including a strong retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive healthcare, and Flexible Time Off (FTO).
