The business is fast-paced and experiencing considerable growth and diversification, and as a result, has an exciting opportunity for a driven, enthusiastic and passionate VESSEL MANAGER to join our high performing team.The OpportunityReporting to the General Manager Operations, the Vessel Manager is responsible for the operation, development and success of assigned Australian-based vessels by actively working with the Senior Management and Executive teams to promote and develop client awareness and secure contracts for the Company by demonstrating a professional presence which exceeds client expectations.This full-time role, based out of our West Perth Head Office, provides flexible working hours and will require both domestic and international travel on an ad hoc basis.Primary ResponsibilitiesOperational Management: Accountable for the effective and efficient daily management of the operations function to achieve revenue, vessel utilisation and performance targets within the Australian market.Compliance: Ensure operational and crewing requirements achieve the highest level of compliance and meet Maritime Safety and Class requirements.Client Management: Focal point of contact for Client support and communication, including the development and presentation of project plans and progress reports.Strategic Planning: Implementation of operations strategic plan that includes the development of policy, processes and procedures for profitable growth of the Company.Best Practice: Foster an operational culture that promotes ethical practices and ensures compliance with all relevant legislation.Continuous Improvement: Implement improved processes and procedures to reduce costs associated with purchasing items for Company assets.Skills, Experience and KnowledgeConsiderable offshore experience as a Senior Deck or Engineering Officer, with strong working knowledge of Dynamic Positioning systems.Minimum of five years shore-based experience in a similar role within an offshore marine services company.Minimum of ten years management experience within a Marine environment.Working knowledge and understanding of all facets of the offshore oil and gas industry.Ability to develop strong strategic and business plans.Proven experience in coordinating activities and contributing to meeting an organisation's strategic objectives.Possesses leadership, communication, influential and motivational skills.General understanding of commercial and contract administration and negotiation.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.Self-motivated and driven, capable of prioritising competing work demands.Strong proficiency in the Microsoft suite of packages.Working knowledge of ISO standards.How to ApplyIf you believe you are the ideal candidate for this exciting and rare opportunity with GO OFFSHORE, please submit a detailed cover letter and resume by clicking 'Quick Apply'.Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
