Venue Manager

Details of the offer

Stomping Ground Morris Moor is looking for a high impact Venue Manager to nurture the team, drive service standards and to pay attention to the small details that have a big impact.
First established in 2016 in Collingwood, Stomping Ground is a neighbourhood brewery bringing people together over a great beer.
With Brewery & Beer Halls already in Collingwood and at Melbourne Airport, we opened our third at Morris Moor in 2021.

As the Venue Manager you will lead operations and drive a positive customer experience.
Together you'll work closely alongside the Assistant Venue Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day running of the venue.
Each day is different and the tasks will vary wildly, so it is important to be efficient, driven and have great problem-solving skills.

Reporting to the Founder/Director of Operations, this role also has multiple touch points to the business so you'll need to have exceptional stakeholder management and be confident interacting with the CEO, Business Founders, Head Chef, Functions Manager, Duty Managers and casual FOH members alike.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: The key focus of this role is to smoothly manage all aspects of the day-to-day running of the venue with key focus areas listed below:
Motivating the team to deliver exceptional service.
Managing and developing a team to ensure operational targets and compliance with safety, RSA, and WHS standards.
Working with the head chef to deliver outstanding food experiences.
Overseeing food safety, COGS, and wage budgets to optimise efficiency and achieve financial targets.
Driving revenue through creative initiatives and cost-effective practices.
Maintaining venue presentation, lighting, music, and marketing in line with brand standards.
A BIT MORE ABOUT YOU: You understand the importance of providing exceptional service, mostly likely gained from high reputation, high volume food and beverage venues.
You will have experience in a leadership role and a proven track record of developing and leading front of house teams.
Your confidence will inspire the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
You've been described as enthusiastic (high energy), flexible, accountable, reliable and passionate.
You have high emotional intelligence, and communication skills come naturally to you, as does a positive attitude.
You will be available to work a flexible rotating roster.
We pride ourselves on creating a great place to work.
We value a high-performance culture that champions inclusion and diversity.
We love ambitious team members and actively create career pathways to enable everyone to fulfil their career goals.
Work/life balance is important to us so overtime is a rarity.
We offer attractive salaries, employee benefits including meals and discounts with partners and suppliers, and of course, there's our award-winning BEER!

Applications: Please include your CV in PDF format, and a PDF cover letter stating why you are the one we are searching for, and why we are the ideal workplace for you.

Salary - $90,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation.

All applications will be treated with strict confidentiality regardless of progress of application.
Applications will close on Wednesday 20th November.
Please note applications will be reviewed as candidates apply so please apply now.

Your application will include the following questions:
How many years of experience do you have in managing hospitality venues?
What is your current notice period?
What are your salary expectations for this role?
