About us ...

The Clubhouse Hervey Bay is situated at the Hervey Bay Golf Club which is operated by the Hervey Bay RSL. The Club House currently has 61 gaming machines, bars, restaurant/cafe, Keno, TAB and function area.

We are looking Venue Manager at the Clubhouse Hervey Bay who is energetic, self motivated professional person to enhance and embrace the day to day operations at the Clubhouse and to work as an integral part of the senior management team to achieve results and be rewarded with job satisfaction.

The Club House Venue Manager will report to the CEO at the Hervey Bay RSL, S/he also works alongside the Head Chef in liaison with the Exe Chef from the Hervey Bay RSL regarding food delivery at the venue.

Your tasks and responsibilities would include:-
Work in consultation with the CEO and other departmental managers to –
Maintain operating budget (KPI's) and take corrective action as necessary to assure that budget goals are attained
Increase levels of food service quality and enhance overall ambiance of member and guest dining experience - in conjunction with the Head Chef
Manage the overall daily operations of the Clubhouse, Bar, Gaming and Restaurant
Manage and supervise staff and implement and maintain weekly rosters
Assists in planning and implementing procedures for special club events and functions
Maintain appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of all equipment and facilities
Ensure that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to
Ensure that all services to members and guests are conducted in a highly professional manner
Maintain a safe working environment and attitude in all areas of responsibility

Experience, Knowledge and Skills -
Minimum 2 years manager/supervisory experience;
At least 5 years’ experience in hospitality - food, beverage and gaming
Current RSA, RSG
Must have current RMLV certificate and license
Current First Aid Certificate
Must be eligible to gain a National Police Certificate for employment;
Outstanding Customer Service Skills
Excellent organisational skills, and ability to manage varied and conflicting demands to agreed standards and timelines.
Highly developed team management skills and commitment to team goals
Excellent communication skills
Must have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office - word, excel and outlook
