Automotive giant based in Altona North requires a Vehicle test driver / Evaluation Technician to joint their team in a 9 month contract role

As the Vehicle test driver / Evaluation Technician you will contribute to the testing/development activities of our vehicles to achieve Toyota's high safety standards..

The team is evaluating new advanced safety systems for our global vehicles to enhance the overall guest driving experience.

**Your new role**
- You will initially be based in our Altona North office and the role will support an evaluation program that will require the flexibility to travel on a monthly basis. (2weeks travel / test driving/ 2 week data analysis)
- Experience in the Automotive industry in a similar role (Vehicle test driving ideal)
- Test-driving vehicles in city and urban terrain
- Setting up tests and translating large amounts of data to produce a meaningful result.
- Ability to clearly report results.
- A 'team player' orientated attitude to collectively achieve overall divisional targets and who loves multitasking.
- Ability to ask "why" and root cause problems with an analytical mindset.
- Support evaluation activities as an evaluation driver/team member.
- This testing will help to contribute to global vehicle development projects and ensuring our vehicles meet our Australian regulatory/safety requirements.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation activity precisely with a safety mindset

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in test driving cars and a keen interest in the automotive sector
- Trade qualification in Engineering or Motor Mechanic.
- Experience in data analysis tools (Vector/VBOX/advanced excel), desired but not essential.
- Understanding of vehicle advanced driver assist systems.
- Current driver's license
- Effective root cause and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to travel regularly (every fortnight for 2 weeks at a time)
