Hobsons Bay Civic Centre - 115 Civic Parade AltonaHobsons Bay City Council, Altona VIC 3018Permanent - Full time* 38 hoursSalary: Band 5 - $75,511.82 – $87,624.83 +superannuation*Role includes an RDOWe are looking for an enthusiastic urban planner to join the diverse and supportive Statutory Planning team at Hobsons Bay City Council.
The successful candidate will work within the dynamic and supportive Statutory Planning Team to facilitate and manage future development in Hobsons Bay.What you'll be working onAssess Planning Applications against the requirements of Planning and Environment Act 1987, the Hobsons Bay Planning scheme, The Subdivision Act 1988 and other related legislation.Deliver exceptional, customer-centric service to both internal and external customers.Ensure the efficient and accurate processing of applications in accordance with the statutory requirements.What you need to succeedA tertiary qualification in Statutory Planning or a related discipline.A sound understanding of Statutory Planning legislation, the planning framework and planning principles as they operate in Victoria, including those relating to land subdivision.A strong customer focus and confidence in dealing with customers via all modes of communication.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Why you should applyThis is a great opportunity for someone to work on projects that will really shape the fabric of Hobsons Bay.
