About the Role
We are looking for a Financial Lines Underwriter to join our motivated underwriting team in Sydney for a January 2025 start or earlier if available! This role will see the management of a portfolio of clients across various industries whilst working effectively with the team to accomplish agreed underwriting goals.
Responsibilities
Preparing and communicating quotations, bindings, policy conditions and mid-term adjustments
Negotiating rates/terms with brokers
Following up offer of quotations/renewal
Updating reporting systems
Development and maintenance of broker relationships including visitations to client offices which may include interstate travel and presentations
Answering broker enquiries
About You
With previous experience in Insurance (Underwriting or Broking), you demonstrate confidence in developing and managing client relationships through your passion for customer service. Your interpersonal and communication skills assist you in conducting presentations and ensuring excellent service standards are maintained. You will also have a demonstrated knowledge of industries and businesses that allow you to provide quality service to your clients, as well as market knowledge of risk. Design & Construct experience is preferable.
