The successful applicants will join a cohesive team of more than 20 FANZCAs and a junior workforce that includes ANZCA registrars from training schemes across Victoria, NSW and the ACT. AWH has 10 theatres spread across two campuses and provides services for general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, vascular, ophthalmology, ENT, obstetrics, gynaecology, and paediatric surgery along with radiology, cardiology, and respiratory procedures. There is an Intensive Care Unit and two busy Emergency Departments. The Department of Anaesthesia at AWH is accredited for 24 months of ANZCA training, and there is excellent training and supervision provided in accordance with ANZCA guidelines. The successful applicants will be responsible for the provision of anaesthetic services to public patients at both Albury and Wodonga campuses and will participate in quality assurance activities within the department. There is the potential for an accredited rotation to ICU for current independent ANZCA registrars who are yet to complete this training requirement.
We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity: Currently registered or eligible for registration with AHPRABachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent degreeRegistration with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) as an ANZCA TraineeRecent experience in a peri-operative or critical care setting, with a minimum of 3 months' prior experience in anaesthesiaDemonstrated commitment to regional & rural healthcareIndependent ANZCA trainees who are looking to continue their training at a major regional health service are strongly encouraged to applyEmployment Type: Two Fixed Term, Full Time positions (Clinical Year 2025).
