Training Presenter, Impact Programs

Are you looking for an opportunity to use your training skills to make a difference?
The Presenter, Impact Programs will be accountable for the successful delivery of the History Trust's Impact training programs.
The Impact training programs address key issues in First Nations and contact history, the dispossession of First Nations people and its legacy of racism, and Reconciliation.
Key components of the role: • Model best-practice teaching in an adult education environment to ensure the delivery of a relevant, influential and informative program that considers sensitivity of content and participants' own knowledge and experience.
• Deliver effective feedback and agreed appraisal mechanisms to measure participant education and engagement, identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions that optimise training delivery and Program outcomes.
• Collaborate with other History Trust of SA team members to ensure that the program meets the educational and cultural needs of adult participants.
• Actively engage in professional learning opportunities and ensure accuracy of program content by establishing and maintaining subject matter expertise and continuing to research in consultation with Project Manager and Head of Collections.
• Liaise with client agency team members to ensure that the ongoing communication and overall success of the program is supported by effective communication and engagement strategies.
• Contribute to the development of the training program through proactive participation in regular meetings, planning activities, continuous improvement initiatives and project teams.
Desirable Qualifications: • Recognised competency-based training or teaching qualifications, including training and assessment About you: The successful candidate will be an experienced adult educator with a passion for history and a commitment to Reconciliation.
Special Conditions: Some out of hours work may be required.
Weekend work will be required.
Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department of Human Services Working with Children Check.
Intrastate and interstate travel may be required and a current driver's licence is desirable.
