Trainee Telco Technical Officer

Band 2 – Salary Range $60,833 - $85,786 (plus Super)
Do you have an IT background, or have you previously worked within the telecommunications industry?
Perhaps you are an electrician, or you have a passion for learning and understanding Electronics.

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an individual to join our high performing Telco team as a Trainee Telco Technical Officer for a 2-year duration.

During the 2-year traineeship, you will undergo both a Certificate III in Telecommunications and a Certificate IV in Telecommunications.
You will receive ample on the job opportunities through guidance and support from team members and leaders, exposing you to the elements of performing regular preventative maintenance of operational network equipment, supporting the installation and commissioning of local projects and assisting in maintaining operational, administrative and commercial telecommunications equipment for customers in regional areas.

About you

To be successful for this traineeship, you will have a basic understanding and interest of utility or carrier telecommunications networks, coupled with basic knowledge in one or more of the following:
Radio communications systems Optical communications systems IP and data networks Telephony and fibre optic installation and testing Upholding and remaining committed to a safe working environment and the ability to follow policies and procedures is critical to the success of this traineeship.

There will be a need to climb towers, requiring the successful candidate to be physically fit and pass a pre-employment medical.
