Trainee Accountant

This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive and supportive professional services firm in the small business tax accounting space.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious and driven individual who has a passion for accounting or wanting to learn more about bookkeeping and small business tax accounting.
You will gain valuable experience in all areas of general business accounting, taxation and superannuation. You will be provided with the opportunity to work closely with a broad range of clients and will be mentored by highly experienced professional staff.
You will be working on a range of clients of all sizes, and across many different industries. The work will include (but not limited to) preparing financial accounts, tax returns, BAS, IAS, FBT returns and providing ad hoc bookkeeping and accounting support to our senior accountants. Our practice uses a range of software to cater for our client's needs including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Reckon & more.
This is a junior entry level position so no prior accounting experience is required however demonstrated prior office or basic bookkeeping experience is an advantage to the applicant. If you are considering a career in accounting and are either currently studying in this field or are considering it in the future, this is an ideal entry level position for you where you will learn valuable on the job experience to support your professional studies.
