Position Overview
The Trade Partnership and Safety Officer is a dual-focused role responsible for nurturing and managing relationships with our network of trade partners and ensuring our operations comply with WHS regulations. You will play a key part in streamlining communication, performance management, and ensuring that all partners adhere to safety standards, fostering a safe and productive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Partnership Management:
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with trade and supplier partners.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and performance expectations with trade partners.
Monitor trade performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Identify new trade partnership opportunities and lead onboarding processes.
Collaborate with trade partners to resolve issues and ensure quality delivery.
Work Health and Safety (WHS) Management:
Monitor WHS policies, procedures, and practices across all projects.
Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Provide WHS training and support to staff and trade partners.
Investigate any incidents or near misses, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
Ensure the business and trade partners comply with industry safety standards and legislative requirements.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in trade relationship management, supplier management, or partnerships in the construction or insurance building industry.
Strong knowledge of WHS regulations and experience managing health and safety within a construction or operational setting.
Ability to negotiate, communicate, and collaborate with trade partners and internal teams effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address and resolve operational and safety issues.
Certification in WHS, safety management, or equivalent experience is preferred.
Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
