We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our Labour and Roustabout team for this prestigious cycling event.
This is your chance to play a vital role in setting up and dismantling event barriers, ensuring the smooth operation of the race stages, and contributing to the success of one of Australia's premier sporting events.
Location: Various locations across Adelaide and regional South Australia Specific Requirements: Availability to work from January 17th to January 26th, 2025, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Previous experience in event setup or similar labour-intensive roles is an advantage.
Crews, Shifts and Locations: CIRCUIT CREW A Circuit Crew A will work across multiple days, starting from January 18, 2025, with various tasks including the setup of barriers at Stirling, Tanunda, and both stages in Adelaide.
They will work early mornings and afternoons to ensure all barriers are in place for both the start and finish of the race stages, coordinating closely with other crews to manage transitions and adjustments as required.
18/01/2025: Adelaide 19/01/2025: Stirling 22/01/2025: Tanunda 26/01/2025: Adelaide CIRCUIT CREW B Circuit Crew B will be engaged on January 18, 2025, from 2030 to 2400, focusing on the removal of barriers in Adelaide.
Their tasks involve ensuring all barriers are removed efficiently post-event.
18/01/2025: Adelaide START CREW The Start Crew operates across multiple locations, beginning on January 17, 2025, ending on January 25, 2025.
Their main responsibilities include the early morning setup of barriers at the start locations of various stages followed by immediate pack down after the race commences.
They will typically be required to work between the hours of 0600 to 1330 each day below.
This crew will manage the placement at different start points, such as Unley, Prospect, Norwood, Glenelg, and McLaren Vale.
Each location will have a specific crew size and number of trucks dedicated to the task, ensuring all barriers are correctly set up and ready for the race start.
17/01/2025: Brighton 18/01/2025: Unley 21/01/2025: Prospect 23/01/2025: Norwood 24/01/2025: Glenelg 25/01/2025: Mclaren Vale FINISH CREW The Finish Crew is tasked with managing the barrier placement and removal at the finish points of each stage, starting on January 17, 2025, and ending January 25, 2025.
Their work hours are typically from 0600 to 1000 and 1530 to 1830, reflecting the need to set up and then remove barriers efficiently post-race.
This team will operate at locations including Aldinga, Willunga Hill, Gumeracha, Uraidla, Victor Harbour, ensuring the barriers are correctly positioned to maintain race safety and spectator control.
They will coordinate closely with event operations managers to ensure all barriers are placed according to the race route specifications and removed promptly after the event to clear the area.
