We have an exciting opportunity for two (2) Casual Teachers to join our Animal Science team at TAFE Queensland's Brisbane Region from November 2024.
These positions will be primarily based at one of the TAFE Brisbane locations for Animal Studies (Grovely, Loganlea, Redcliffe, Mount Gravatt).
This position reports to the Educational Team Leader.
The Role The hourly rate for a Casual Teacher (weekdays) is $108.11 per hour plus superannuation contributions.

Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed;ACM30122 – Certificate III in Animal Care ServicesACM30321 – Certificate III in Wildlife and Exhibited careACM40418 – Certificate IV Veterinary NursingCurrent industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;Current Queensland Driver's license.Additionally, to become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; orTAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; orTAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; plus:TAELLN411 or its successor or TAELLN401A; andTAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B;A credential issued by a higher education provider which would enable the individual to satisfy the academic requirements for registration as a secondary school teacher and one (1) of the following credentials:TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor, orTAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor; orTAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set;A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland).Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
