About the role: We are seeking a Theatre Orderly to join our diverse, close-knit Day Surgery Unit team at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne (RDHM). This role is vital to RDHM's operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal skills, and take pride in supporting others, this could be the perfect job for you!
You will be responsible for: Assist with the transfer and positioning of patients to and from operating tables, beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the operating theatre and surrounding areas.Transport and deliver items between departments/services including documents, specimens, and medical supplies as required.Organize storerooms, manage waste, and ensure the staff tearoom is restocked and cleaned.A bit about you: You are organized and efficient.You work well under pressure, if required.You value workplace diversity and teamwork.You enjoy interacting with others and have a customer service focus.You preferably have experience working in a hospital environment.Your knowledge of infection control is advantageous.What's in it for you?
