Deep experience and capability with a genuine care about creating better lives for people along the way.Be part of the team that's up for the challenge of transforming lives.About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Testing and Commissioning Manager to join the Rail & Transport division of John Holland.This role will be working primarily on the East Coast of Australia and there is flexibility and opportunities to be based in our Brisbane Corporate Office in Fortitude Valley and provide support to Projects and Tenders as required. There are also emerging opportunities in New South Wales and Victoria which can be considered.As Testing & Commissioning Manager, you will be part of our Rail Engineering and Integration (REI) team providing leadership with the delivery of testing & commissioning services for our Rail and Transport Tenders and Projects whilst having the opportunity to support the wider Technology Engineering and Knowledge (TEK) group across all John Holland business groups.Key Responsibilities:Lead development of testing & commissioning strategies, plans, and procedures on Tenders and Projects.Manage processes and systems to ensure systems and infrastructure is tested and commissioned against requirements, is integrated into operational networks, fit for intended purpose, and meets performance requirements.Management of discipline specific testing and commissioning teams both directly and indirectly to support system integration.Provision of direction, support and winning strategies for the function across the wider John Holland portfolio.Determination and implementation of progressive off site and onsite testing and commissioning programs to support the verification and validation process and ensure all evidence is captured, available and traceable.Demonstrate leadership in engineering safety risk management, safety compliance and auditing, and ensure legislative, pre-contract and commercial obligations are met.Demonstrate sound people management and communication skills to influence stakeholders and build working relationship.To be successful in this role, you will have:Tertiary qualification in a related subject.Demonstrable experience in integrated Rail systems testing, commissioning and operational readiness.Demonstrable experience leading testing & commissioning in a Rail project environment.Demonstrable experience in multi-disciplined Rail delivery planning, scheduling (including possession planning) and associated risk management.Strong understanding of Systems Engineering, Assurance and Network Risk Management and its application in a Rail context.Demonstrable knowledge of the Asset Management and Operational Readiness requirements for bringing a railway project into operations.As part of the team, you can help us transform lives.Your success is reflected in ours, so we're committed to being an employer of choice.
