Position -
Test Manager/Coordinator
Length of contract: 6 months, with possible extension
Current Team:
This role will report to PM on a day-to-day basis and will work closely with SIT testers, Tech leads, developers and businesses as part of a project team of ten people.
Environment:
Preferred to work Tuesday or Wednesday from the Frankston office
Must haves/non-negotiables: JIRA, Agile, strong test management/coordination experience
Job Purpose
The New Connections Project - Test Manager/Coordinator will work with the Project Manager to deliver a key technical change. This project involves developing code for the PEGA app, Boomi middleware, Montage (middleware system), and a user-facing ICE system, all with non-negotiable deadlines. The role requires a highly proactive individual with experience in complex technical environments to coordinate SIT and UAT testing. The incumbent will be hands-on, working in an agile team to develop and execute SIT and UAT test plans.
The position will closely work with a project team consisting of roughly 2 Business Analysts, 9 Developers, 2 Testers, 3 Tech Leads, and Business Testers to develop and manage the entire testing lifecycle.
Key Accountabilities
Development and writing of system and user test cases
Identification and verification of processes to be tested in each phase
Training and coaching relevant staff in execution of test cases
Development of acceptance criteria for each phase
Co-ordination of business verification testing to meet phase outcomes
Defect management during business verification testing
Managing and co-ordinating the logistics required to set up and execute testing
Reporting and documenting test outcomes
Support true agile delivery practice
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Understanding of full test cycle in Agile delivery structure that includes SIT and UAT in in a complex technical space with a fluency in emerging technologies.
Extensive experience in development of user test cases
Management of user test case execution
Attention to detail and exceptional standards in complying with approved test plans
Ability to communicate requirements and gain commitment from business users to the purpose and processes for Business Verification Testing
An ability to quickly establish trust and rapport at all levels of an organisation
Experience and delivery in an environment undergoing significant digital transformation
