Our client, a Tier One Mining operator, is looking for an experienced Test Analyst who can ensure that in-scope software applications and systems meet specific design requirements and functions. This will be a contract-based position located in Perth.
Responsibilities include: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for testing software systems.Examine and understand project requirements to ensure clarity and consistency, seeking clarification when necessary.Create detailed test cases, test scripts and scenarios based on project specifications.Identify and document defects and issues including steps for reproduction.Develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance testing.Evaluate system performance and response times where applicable.Perform regression testing to verify existing functionality after changes.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and developers to address and resolve testing-related issues.Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the testing process.Skill and Experience Several years' experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related field.Ability to analyse project requirements and identify potential issues and ambiguities.Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and test execution.Experience with different testing types (e.g., functional, regression, performance, and automation).Effective communication with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and provide clear reporting.Strong teamwork skills to work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers.Expertise in maintaining organized and comprehensive test documentation.Capability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues.Ability to simulate and analyse system behaviour under various loads.A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is a bonus.Due to a high level of applications and tight timeframe, shortlisted profiles will be contacted directly.
