The Opportunity
Thiess is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Services Manager to join our team. Initially based in our client's office in Adelaide, this pivotal role will transition to a site-based position at the Hillside Copper and Gold Project in South Australia. As a key representative of the Thiess team, you will play a crucial role in assisting our client in setting up their mine for successful operation.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the client to ensure the seamless setup and transition of the mining operations.
Provide expert technical advice and support on all aspects of the mining process.
Oversee the development and implementation of mining plans and strategies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals to achieve project goals.
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives.

About You:

A degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
Proven experience in a technical management role within the mining industry.
Strong understanding of mining operations, planning, and development.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Willingness to relocate and work on-site at the Hillside Copper and Gold Project.
