The Role
The role is to provide technical support for ongoing production and sample preparation, implementing machine upgrades and change orders, monitoring machine performance, and liaising between the manufacturer and Orora, training machine operators and maintenance staff, and maintaining spare parts stock.
The role will commence when the machinery arrives in Australia, being a part of the installation and commissioning stages.
Specific training on this innovative machinery will be provided by the manufacturer with the possibility of some initial international travel to their head office or other sites throughout our installation and commissioning stage.
This is a 24-month fixed-term role based at our Dandenong Can manufacturing site, with a possibility of becoming a permanent role.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvides on-site technical support.Be a focal point for the communication between Orora and the manufacturer.Train machine operators and maintenance staff.Implements machine upgrades and change orders.Supports the ongoing production and sample preparation.Opens service calls and sends reports on machine performance.Maintains machine's on-site spare parts stock.About YouExperience in product support in the digital printing, semiconductor, flat panel displays, or other relevant capital equipment is an advantage.Bachelor of Science in Engineering, practical engineer, or relevant technical studies is preferred.Proven experience in "Technical Hands On" machine servicing.End-to-end, high technical capabilities, and strong troubleshooting skills.Self-learning capabilities, with the ability to work in a team and alone under pressure.Excellent interpersonal skills, well-organized, and trustworthy.If you have an innovative and technical mindset with a desire to work within a diverse and supportive team that values creativity and high performance, we would love to hear from you!
