Reporting to the Systems Proposals Team Leader, this role would be mainly focused to estimate site supervision & installation works for our portfolio offerings, Medium Voltage AIS & GIS & LV Switchboards. This role will be both challenging and rewarding having full responsibility for proposals.Responsibilities of this role include:Develops, designs and completes customer proposals in technical aspects (Proposal Engineer).Manage and clearly document customer requirements and compliance throughout the bid phase to ensure scope clarity and alignment of customer expectations.Performs site surveys to develop supervision and/or installation plans.Prepare the cost calculations, including commercial risk assessments & quantification, coordination with commercial partners.Prepare and validate with the relevant internal & external stakeholders, preliminary project plans including quality, schedule, human resources.Management of inbound customer inquiries, especially technical Q&A's, RFI's and related clarifications relating to assigned inquiries.Analyzes customers' technical setup in order to better judge on aspects of product and solution integration.Completes technical analyses and supports proposal process at any stage as part of the sales team.Performs the review of task plans, drawings and installation schematics and provides guidance in the phase of product test integration.Support completion of service contracts (i.e. planning and estimation of labor categories, rates, material cost, etc.).May manage respective sub-contractors.Coordination of customer purchase order receipt processing and timely handover to operations ensuring the quality standards.Support the sales team with customer care initiatives, presentations and events as required.The successful candidate will possess:Minimum of 5 years' experience with estimating / managing site works (supervision / installation) for Medium & Low Voltage switchgears.Knowledge and experience with Medium Voltage (AIS) technology, LV Switchgears and Busways.Tertiary degree in Electrical engineering.Relevant experience in a similar role.Advanced understanding of Quality, Safety and Environment requirements.Knowledge of relevant Australian and International Design and Electrical standards.Candidate should have full work rights in Australia.Siemens is a proud equal opportunity employer, creating a work environment of diversity and inclusion.
