How will you make an impact?

You will manage the sales of the Gene Expression and Genotyping product portfolio in WA / SA / VIC / TAS to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan. You will be the primary driver of business development to penetrate and grow current and new business.

What will you do?

Technical Sales Strategies, Plan & Execute to achieve Targets
Selling and promoting the Gene Expression and Genotyping portfolios across a defined territory (Australasia).
Managing existing accounts and prospecting for new business that will contribute to sales growth, and achievement of sales targets

Customer Relationship Management
Produce Forward Call Cycle/Plan.
Make regular customer calls with/ without the local Sales person.
Identify new business opportunities and work with the Technical Sales Manager to develop sales potential.

Product / Market Knowledge
Constantly develop product knowledge through company literature and other independent sources of technical information.
Obtain and report information of market trends, competitive promotions and other activities from the market that may aid the sales and marketing activity.

Budgets/targets
Essential to meet Revenue and Gross Profit sales targets as set each year for the defined territory and contribute to the achievement of the region goals.

You will be recognized as a technical leader and business development leader within the sales force that drives strategic objectives and adoption of new products.

How will you get here?

Education
Tertiary qualifications in Science and strong life science knowledge (Molecular, Gene Expression and Genotyping) with at least three years’ experience in the Gene Expression and or DNA Genotyping fields
A Master Degree or PhD in life sciences is highly desirable

Experience

Sales experience - at least 2 years relevant experience in sales and account relationship management preferred. A Strong knowledge of local market and products is desired.

Strategic and tactical market development skills.
Ability to think and implement from a customer-centric perspective, building and fostering strong customer relationships.
Goal orientated, with strong sales attributes, a demonstrated track record of and passion for sales success. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to report clearly and concisely and manage accurate sales forecasting.
Planning and Organising – Establishing a clear course of action to accomplish goals and objectives. Time management skills, effective use of resources and systems, ability to prioritise activities, completion of tasks. Sound administration skills.
Team Work - Participative and collaborative management and operational work style enabling one to work effectively across functional groups to meet aggressive schedules.
