Fish production for public waters stocking is a key Victorian Fisheries Authority priority and Victorian Government policy commitment.The role of the Technical Officer (Fish Production and stocking) provides technical, administrative, and operational support to the department's recreational fish production and stocking program.The position will sit within the Recreational Fishing Improvements team and will report directly to the Stocking Coordinator, Snobs Creek. There are no staff reporting to this position which will function as part of the fish production and stocking team based at Snobs Creek. This position is part of both the native fish and salmonid hatcheries, the stocking program, and will work closely with other areas of Victorian Fisheries Authority to achieve broader results.The TeamThe VFA is a statutory authority established to facilitate the effective management of Victoria's fisheries resources in a coordinated and strategic way that ensures their ongoing sustainability.
