You will feel great satisfaction knowing your talent and hard work has a purpose.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with extensive workers compensation experience or Allied Health background to work with EML's Specialised Insurance business, Hospitality Industry Insurance (HII). We provide industry specific workers compensation insurance to over 1600 accommodation hotels, pubs, and clubs. This unique portfolio provides a rewarding and challenging opportunity in the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme.The Technical and Injury Management Specialist role underpins the sustainability and growth of EML by ensuring that proactive injury management strategies are implemented within the claims teams as well as by ensuring that technical support is provided to the team.This will be a permanent, full time position based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESProviding technical support to claims teams about the claims management process in line with the applicable legislationReviewing and providing feedback about current claims management practices and procedures ensuring emerging trends are identified and managedDevelop and implement injury management strategies including leveraging relevant resources required in managing claim scenariosProvide specialist Injury Management coaching and one on one support to team members regarding claims management strategy and treatment approvalsIn conjunction with the Team Leader identify, develop and implement effective strategies to support the achievement of key performance and remuneration measuresBuilding and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholdersABOUT YOUStrong technical experience within the workers compensation schemeExperience in Injury Management within a fast-paced Workers Compensation environmentStrong experience in claims management including work capacity, litigation, and particularly long-term claimsExperience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder prioritiesExperience in coaching and supporting othersWHAT WE OFFERWe stand together as equals.
