Role Description There are opportunities to work collaboratively with our many biodiversity specialists across the globe, including internationally recognised subject matter experts in natural capital and biodiversity and business.
Role Accountabilities Providing technical ecological expertise on a range of complex projects.
Supporting the NSW Environment Team Leader and National Ecology Lead in maintaining a sustainable pipeline of work for a growing team (through business development) and building awareness of the Arcadis brand for this service line.
Ensuring technical excellence across a range of Ecology deliverables through robust quality assurance.
Proactively managing selected projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Enthusiastically developing the technical skills of our emerging ecologists, both in the field and in their reporting, and in client and project management.
Being a role model for the supportive and engaging culture that we foster in all our team members.
Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, botany, ecology, biology or related discipline.
Extensive relevant post-graduate experience, including supervising aspects of projects, applying standards and managing resources.
Experience in or a willingness for leading a team of ecologists is desirable but not essential.
Strong capability in biodiversity field assessment, with skills in plant identification and vegetation classification and mapping.
Demonstrated experience in ecological impact assessment.
BAM Accreditation or ability and aptitude to acquire accreditation.
Strong client focus and the ability to manage the commercial aspects of our ecology projects.
Proven experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team.
