The opportunity Join our Brisbane team on a full time, permanent basis, as our Technical Business Analyst .
In this role, you'll bridge business requirements with technical solutions, to drive successful outcomes.
Engaging with teams to understand and document their technology needs, and translating these into high-level technical solutions and actionable user stories, you'll work closely with technical teams to ensure processes and systems are optimized, and aligned with our organizational objectives.
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Software & Architecture, you'll immerse yourself in our database structures, API functionalities, and system integrations, to support technical implementations, such as Workato and our new document management system.
You'll swiftly master new applications and technologies, providing recommendations and implementing optimal solutions.
Additionally, you'll ensure your efforts are aligned with our broader software strategies and innovation objectives, including advancements in AI.
Here's how you'll help us stay ahead of the pack:    Gather and document user stories and technical requirements in our internal system.
Assist in the creation and refinement of architectural and solution design.
Manage relationships with vendors and oversee their performance to ensure smooth integration with internal systems.
Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both clients and internal stakeholders.
Analyse past projects to leverage corporate knowledge and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
Provide strategic insights that optimize processes and drive efficiency.
Ensure the successful delivery of technical projects that align with business objectives.
Ensure that technical solutions adhere to legal and regulatory requirements specific to the legal industry, with a focus on data security and compliance, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Explore and implement AI capabilities to enhance business intelligence, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
Develop a roadmap for AI integration, identifying key opportunities, launching impactful projects, and setting a foundation for long-term AI growth.
What you'll bring.
To thrive in this role: Extensive technical business analysis experience within professional services environments, preferably within the legal sector.
Demonstrated success in bridging business and technical requirements to deliver impactful solutions.
Proficiency with ERP software platforms, and ideally industry specific case management systems (e.g., Matter Sphere) and document management systems.
Strong experience with BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) for modelling, analysing, and optimizing business processes, with the ability to visually represent workflows, and ensure process improvements align with objectives.
API and integration expertise, to support seamless connectivity across systems, ensuring effective data flow between platforms.
Capable of working with technical teams on API functions and database design to deliver integrated solutions.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess business requirements and translate them into actionable, detailed technical solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and detailed user stories to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams and clients.
Ability to contribute to technical solution architecture by providing detailed analysis of business needs and recommending specific tools, frameworks, and methods to enhance functionality, security, and performance.
Tertiary qualifications in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
