Location: Hybrid (Office days: Mondays & Wednesdays)
Engagement: Contract - 4 months initially

About the Company Davidson is partnering with a Melbourne based utilities company who is embarking on a key cloud transformation initiative, transitioning from an ageing SAP and Business Objects software legacy to a modern, scalable cloud-based environment. As part of this journey, they require a business analyst to support system auditing, stakeholder engagement, and the decommissioning of legacy platforms.
About the Role As a business analyst, you will play a crucial role in assessing the current system landscape, identifying dependencies, and supporting the transition to the cloud. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting a system stocktake to determine existing applications and data usageEngaging with business stakeholders to validate system dependencies and understand how information is consumedLeading a scoping exercise for the decommissioning of SAPCollaborating with IT teams to understand the technology footprintCoordinating with external vendors, including SAP, to facilitate a smooth transitionSupporting change management initiatives for long-standing users adapting to the new environmentAnalysing and validating large datasets to ensure accurate migration and business continuityAbout You Extensive data experience is essential for this role, as you will be working with large datasets, legacy systems, and cloud migration processes.
Mandatory skills and experience: Proven experience as a business analyst in a data-driven environmentStrong SQL skills to extract, analyse, and validate dataDeep understanding of data structures, reporting tools, and database managementAbility to perform system audits and document findingsStrong stakeholder engagement skills - many users have been in place for decades and need guidance through the transitionExposure to change management and process improvementExperience in the utilities sector is highly desirable.Please apply by uploading your current resume in Microsoft Word format only (.doc or .docx).
