This is an exciting opportunity to join a technology leader working on some of the most exciting and innovative projects in Australia.The technical solution architect will join and technically lead a small but high-performing engineering team delivering market-leading voice and video solutions to government and Enterprise customers as a part of their Digital transformation journeys.Your job is to provide a technical leadership role in the architecture, design and development of the Parlai communications platform and products.Working within the product engineering team, in collaboration with the management team, you will provide end-to-end technical oversight and leadership in innovating and evolving the platform and product capabilities.You will be well-versed in using and architecting AWS services and other cloud-based technologies such as AI that can be leveraged and used to design and develop a work-leading communications platform.You will be experienced across all phases of the software development lifecycle and will be acquainted with DevOps / Continuous Integration and production deployment processes.In addition, the role will play an instrumental role in leading customer solution designs to ensure the security, quality and operational integrity of the solutions.With a desire to innovate, and lead from the front, the hands-on role will also see you play a leading role in R&D activities and Proof of Concept designs.Skills & ExperienceYou will be someone who has:Excellent client-facing communications skills (written and verbal).Strong team player and work ethic.At least 10+ years' experience working in a software development team developing and leading the development of small to large-scale projects.Must have strong AWS skills and platform engineering (e.g. EC2, ECS, API-GW, Lambda, DynamoDB, VPC, VPN, security groups, IAM roles).Experience with Spring and Spring Boot and microservices design.Experience with Voice & or Video communications technology is highly desirable (Twilio, SIP, WebRTC, STUN / TURN / ICE / NAT).Experience using and developing RESTful APIs.Scripting and automation experience.Comfortable with using CI / CD tools.Experience with SDLC tools (e.g. Bamboo, Jenkins, JIRA, GIT, Confluence).Understanding of DevOps best practices and ITIL as a support framework to ensure understanding of processes.Highly self-motivated and demonstrating excellent problem-solving abilities.Strong teamwork and willingness to respond to queries and provide deliverables within prompt timeframes to support customer, team and project objectives.Flexibility to deal with changing priorities and multi-tasking capability.QualificationsDegree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
