We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Water business for a Team Manager to help lead and grow our established Asset Management and Planning team. We’re flexible where the role is to be based.

The proposed existing and proposed services in the strategy and performance team, cover the following services:
Tactical asset management (condition assessment)
Renewals planning
Strategic asset management
Maintenance Optimization strategies
Business Efficiency Studies (i..e flow gauging strategy, data analytics)
Priority Infrastructure Planning/Netserv/Policy
Scenario Planning (cater for client future visions i.e. city of future, connected customers)
Reporting to the Section Executive, Water – Asset Management and Planning the primary responsibilities and accountabilities of the Team Manager include:
Lead our ‘zero harm’ safety culture and comply with role-specific SHEQ obligations
Responsible for the commercial and financial performance of the Water team.
Drive performance in accordance with strategic goals.
Maintain staff well-being and lead the professional development of direct reports.
Build trust within the business and empower your team to foster high performance and entrepreneurial culture.
Responsible for the commercial and financial performance.
Interpret strategic plans into action plans, implement and achieve actions.
Manage the delivery of projects to our internal and external clients on-time, within budget and to a high technical standard.
Manage and contribute to projects (as appropriate), including providing technical review and sign off, risk management, commercial and project management.
Ensure consistency of standards and procedures, systems and approach.
Plan the team’s short-term and long-term resourcing to maximise efficiency and profit.
Key Skills and qualifications:
Typically, 10+ years’ experience in the Water sector, ideally most of your career in a consultancy environment.
Previous team management or project management experience desirable
Able to foster collaboration across direct reports and other ANZ water team members.
Proven ability to develop strategic plans for growth and development of the team in line with greater business
Well-connected within the QLD and Victoria market to carry out Business Development and/or client relationship duties.
Proven ability to successfully interpret strategic plan into action plans and achieve the action plans.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a consultancy environment.

Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Developed internal networks with key colleagues.
Track record of winning work within water sectors.
Experience in managing a team budget and implementing a budget process.
Experience in dealing with and solving client issues and concerns relating to projects and project teams.
