Our clients include:UnitywaterUrban UtilitiesGold Coast Water and WasteTaswaterSydney WaterHunter WaterIcon WaterWater NSWSouth East WaterGreater Western WaterGippsland WaterMelbourne WaterSA WaterRegional clientsWe are in the privileged position of having an impressive backlog of work, which provides us with a stable platform and the ability to be reasonably selective with regards to the broad range of tendering opportunities in the market.The OpportunityReporting to the Water Section Executive, Asset Management & Planning, our client-focused Team Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our growing AMP water team and will interact with clients and potential clients to nurture WSP's future pipeline of work. The role encompasses:Being responsible for the commercial and financial performance of the team, including managing team utilisation and project governance.Leading the business development and positioning activities for pursuits, and preparing key tenders for the AMP water team.Maintaining performance in accordance with strategic performance goals.Being responsible for maintaining staff well-being and leading the professional development of direct reports.Supporting and mentoring staff.Promoting diversity and inclusion and encouraging a healthy balance for team members.Translating strategic plans into action plans and implementing key actions.Planning the team's short-term and long-term resourcing to maximise efficiency.Active involvement in shaping the industry and events through committees, industry bodies, and publishing papers.Maintain 50% billability on project work.What We'll Love About YouThis role is strategically important to our future growth and impact. We are looking for a leader who can support and develop the team and provide an environment where the team can thrive and be successful.Previous team management experience desirable.Well-connected within the Water utilities market (strong preference for Victorian water market).Project Management experience.Experience in commercial aspects of projects in a consulting environment.Experience in infrastructure planning and/or detailed planning of water, recycled water, and sewerage infrastructure.Proven ability to develop strategic plans for growth and development of the team in line with greater business.Proven ability to successfully interpret strategic plans into action plans and achieve the action plans.Track record of winning work in this market sector.Experience in dealing with and solving client issues and concerns relating to projects and project teams.About WSPWSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms, bringing together approximately 6,000 talented people across 15 offices in Australia.
