About the role
South West Healthcare's Infant Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS) is a specialist service for young people aged 0-25 years and their families. With three embedded specialist streams: Infant Child and Family for 0-11 years old, and the Youth Streams for 12-25-year-olds consisting of the intake and short-term intervention and ongoing care streams.
The Team Leader promotes leadership for staff within the Infant & Child (0-11 years old) Mental Health Service, both operationally and strategically.
Position overview
Full-time (40 hours per week, with monthly ADO) 12-month parental leave position Warrnambool Campus Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4, Occupational Therapist Grade 3, Social Worker Grade 3, Psychologist Grade 3 Salary Range: $97,000- $120,000 pro rata, plus superannuation What you bring
The successful applicant will have the ability to demonstrate excellent skills and broad experience in mental health clinical services, including a proven ability to work within a team-based multi-disciplinary model.
Working as part of a collaborative and highly skilled team of professionals, excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential. A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of legislation, regulation, and contemporary practice is a must.
Registered nurse with appropriate tertiary qualifications, AHPRA Registration, at least 5 years' experience in the provision of mental health services; and
Completion of either Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or Masters of Mental Health Nursing (or other relevant Post Graduate Course) required; or completion of a specialist undergraduate Mental Health Nursing program. Occupational Therapist with a Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency and at least 7 years' experience in the provision of mental health services.
Social Worker with a Degree in Social Work & eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers and at least 7 years' experience in the provision of mental health services.
Psychologist with Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Psychologist and at least 5 years' experience in the provision of mental health services.
