Under the leadership of the F&B Manager and with the support of the existing Leadership Team, the Team Leader is responsible for the front of house (FOH) operations ensuring a superior guest experience.
Whilst this role operates across all areas, there will be a significant focus on the GRSC Bistro, Bar and Functions. The role will also assist with compliance to relevant Registered Clubs legislations, venue security and the overall protection of the venue licence. In the absence of the F&B Manager the Team Leader will be responsible for the operation of the venue.
Key Duties: Lead and motivate the food and beverage team to deliver outstanding service and exceed guest expectations.Operations Management: be a core part of planning and execution of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and special occasions, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional guest experiences.Opening and closing procedures, scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling.Staff Supervision: Provide leadership and direction to the venue staff. Assign and delegate duties, conduct regular staff meetings, and monitor performance.Quality Control: Monitor the quality and presentation of food, beverages, and service provided in the venue.Functions: Collaborate with other departments to coordinate events and special promotions. Set up and pack down of event rooms and coordination on the day when required and liaising with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure successful outcome.Our ideal candidate You will come with a solid F&B experience either in a large restaurant leading the team or a functions centre where delivering exceptional functions is just second nature for you. You are a natural leader and know how to communicate and bring the best out of your team. You also don't shy away from difficult conversations and you can address staff performance to ensure they feel supported and coached at the same time.
Previous experience in a leadership role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a club or restaurant setting.Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, event management, and customer service best practices.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.Proven ability to multitask, problem-solve, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and creating memorable events.Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG).Advanced RCG competency is a bonus and must be willing to obtain due to legislation changes.Why join us!
