The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead E&I Engineering to join our Networks team in Thomastown VIC, Eagle Farm QLD, or Kidman Park SA, on a Permanent Fulltime basis. Reporting to the Manager Engineering Design – Networks, this role is responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for APA's Networks Assets.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
Manage a team of professional electrical, instrumentation, and control engineers across SA, Vic, and QLD.
Manage and forecast resources, work priorities in a dynamic and busy working environment, and report the status to senior management.
Manage team's performance through planning, competencies, and innovative designs.
Foster a continuous improvement culture within E&I engineering practices and challenge the status quo.
Establish strong collaboration with peers and other team leads to support a safe and smooth project delivery and working environment.

Your background

Tertiary qualification in Engineering and admission to corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia, RPEQ, and RPEV.
Extensive knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering in the energy infrastructure industry.
Leadership capabilities (ability to develop, lead, and maintain a high performing team).
Excellent coordination and well-developed communication and influencing skills.
Proficiency in project management and resource planning.

About the Team
Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia. This is an exciting time for the Networks team; we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including the 2032 Olympics. Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and are working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
