Rollands Plains Upper Public School is in an agricultural area located 45kms North West of Port Macquarie on the Mid North Coast.
In 2024 Rollands Plains Upper Public School has an enrolment of 24 students, of which 9% identify as Aboriginal. Quality education programs ensure every student achieves their personal best across all aspects of academic, social and emotional performance with a particular focus in literacy and numeracy.
The school works in partnership with the parents and caregivers to achieve the school goals. The school welcomes community involvement and participation in the life of the school and enjoys strong partnerships from outside agencies to extend curriculum and wellbeing opportunities for students.

Our current class structure is a K-2, a 3-6 class, with a 0.2 remote APCI and two part-time School Learning and Support Officers.
The principal role involves strong engagement and collaboration with the APCI and the principals of Huntingdon and Long Flat Public Schools. These schools have shared initiatives within the Strategic Improvement Plan in student growth and attainment, attendance, and Aboriginal Education.

Selection Criteria In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary.
A highly visible, approachable and collaborative leader with the demonstrated capacity to effectively manage the dual role of a teaching principal Demonstrated excellence in leading effective, research based academic and wellbeing initiatives to support students and staff to build a positive inclusive school culture. General Selection Criteria 1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people

Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

Special Notes Classification Structure for Principals:
The classification and remuneration of our school principals is based on school complexity, as measured through each school's RAM allocation. As part of the ongoing application of the new structure a review of thresholds and outcomes will occur on an annual basis. The principal classification for this school is Teaching Principal Level TP2 for 2024.
Applicants are to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.
