This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025Coastal Lakes College (CLC) opened to Year 7 and 8 in the Inclusive Education Hub in 2019.

The ILP caters to students who are identified as requiring additional support with their literacy and numeracy skills development.
The ILP offers a smaller class of approximately 18 students, enabling the teacher (and a full-time Education Assistant) to more effectively differentiate and scaffold their teaching to meet student needs.
As well as smaller class sizes, students in the ILP are immersed in an educationally supportive and caring environment to better meet their learning needs.
As such, the successful applicant should have a passion for improving student literacy and numeracy outcomes, have the ability to promote an environment of active and positive engagement, and build positive relationships that support students to thrive in their education.As the designated Year 7 teacher you will teach students English, Maths, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences and Social-emotional Learning (SEL), providing a comprehensive education focused on the development of the whole-child, which we are fully committed to at CLC.
To compliment the academic component of the program the Individualized Learning Plan is supported by a College-wide approach to social-emotional learning via our Zones of Regulation and You Can Do It Programs.This opportunity would suit, but is not limited to, an applicant with knowledge, skills and/or experience in lower or middle secondary, or upper primary school.
We are looking for a teacher who ideally possesses an underlying passion, interest and commitment to nurturing positive academic, social-emotional and well-being outcomes for students to inspire personal growth, enjoyment and success with their learning.You should also possess high standards of professionalism and embrace opportunities for collaboration with other staff from across the College.
You will ideally enjoy working in a supportive team environment, consisting of an outstanding group of Integrated Learning teachers who work collaboratively together and are very well supported by our Level 3 Head of Learning Area of the ILP.
