South Newman Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint a Primary Teacher to build relationships with students and staff, quickly learn school programs and continue on with the success of the year so far.
The successful applicant should be a collaborative team player, someone who is willing to learn whole school programs, willing to learn explicit instruction and willing to be observed and provided with feedback. Whole school programs include Letters and Sounds, and John Fleming explicit instruction model.
The successful applicant will be someone who genuinely cares about students and their academic progress and wellbeing. South Newman PS is looking for someone who works well with parents.

As an Independent Public School located in the heart of the Pilbara region, we provide high quality education for students from more than nationalities, many of whom enrol at our school with English as their second language.
We provide a range of educational opportunities and experiences for approximately students from Kindergarten to Year . We offer specialist programs in digital technologies, art, science and physical education.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;

Be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
