You will have the opportunity to work closely with various functional areas, gaining valuable experience while contributing significantly to the company's success.
Your responsibilities will include preparing financial reports, assisting with tax returns, and identifying process improvement initiatives.Prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders.Assist the finance team with period end close activity.Identify and highlight risks and issues that appear on the balance sheet.Assist with the preparation of income tax provisions and income tax returns.Prepare and post journals to the general ledger ensuring they are accurate and supportable.Prepare and lodge monthly BAS returns and corporate PAYG instalments for the Group and joint ventures.Review month end results to identify and correct mis postings whilst understanding the drivers of variances.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations explaining life to date balances with a clear itemisation ensuring they are accurate and supportable.What you bring:The ideal candidate for this Financial & Tax Accountant position will bring a strong background in finance, particularly in taxation.
You should be CPA/CA qualified or currently studying towards it.
A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience is required, along with high proficiency in Excel.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as well as a proactive attitude.
