Role Overview: Talent Engagement's ambition is to be elite recruiting function focused on engaging, attracting and hiring the very best and most diverse talent for Diageo. The Talent Engagement Manager (TEM) is a critical role that is passionate about ensuring the consistent delivery and an excellent candidate experience to achieve Diageo's Talent Ambition, whether through an internal move or an external mid-career hire. The role is deeply connected to the business by market and/or function and enables business performance delivery. Below are some key accountabilities of the role. Based in Sydney, you will be responsible for one of our biggest markets in APAC, Australia.
Role Responsibilities: Deliver the best quality candidates at the shortlist stage of the hiring process allowing a hiring manager to select the best fit for their vacancy. The focus is on delivering an outstanding candidate and line manager experience at pace with the focus around critical and key roles. Work closely with the HR and business to be hire ahead of the curve and identify internal talent pool and where this is not possible potential external candidates. Provide expertise in the resourcing, hiring and talent planning process and will be a coach and mentor to their client group and will model the leadership standards and facilitating talent moves and hires. Leverage and optimise the global Employer Brand and deploy creative sourcing strategies to seek for the best talent for Diageo and develop strong pipelines to fill known and anticipated talent gaps, whether externally or internally. Be a true business partner with hiring managers and HR colleagues in all talent discussions to ensure the accurate level of tension is brought to conversations around taking bolder bets with internal talent. Be Externally curious for talent and process; brings external insights into internal talent calibration conversations; experiment with diverse talent pools and talent profiles. Measures outcomes and makes relevant and appropriate course corrections quickly if required. Knows and understand the performance metrics that drive the TE function and how these are influences and impacted through their mind set, behaviours and actions. Experience / Skills Required: Demonstrable experience in end-end recruitment process with a search agency or a corporate environment. Ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders and candidates in a fast paced environment. Experience of leading senior mid-career hiring. Strong external radar and awareness of external talent insights. Ability to generate insight from data and generate action plans from data insights. Have outstanding consultative skills and be able to influence action and change with line managers. Track record of bringing a stretching Inclusion & Diversity strategy to life through the executive talent agenda. Have an understanding of the component parts of HR to understand how it is possible to deliver a high quality service to a client group. An ability to work in the most confidential situations gaining trust and respect from candidates and hiring managers.
