AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program) is the Australian Government's largest and longest-running English language program, providing English language tuition to eligible new migrants and humanitarian entrants since . AMEP is a free and voluntary service available to eligible migrants who have less than Functional English.
As a TAFE Queensland Teacher in AMEP you will contribute to developing and delivering quality learning services to a wide range of clients through:
Delivering training to clients with English as a second language.
Experience working with and assessing using the ACSF (Australian Core Skills Framework).
Performing Initial assessments with students.
Outcome focused vocational education and training (VET) programs.
Linking with industry, schools, universities, other TAFE and VET providers.
Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies.
Working in an environment of change and continuous improvement.
A sound ability to consistently achieve contract outcomes.
IMPORTANT NOTE: must be TESOL qualifiedfor this position.
