Avantgarde Technologies is seeking an experienced fulltime System Engineer to assist with project implementation and support for our customers.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years industry experience, strong time management and problem solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
Candidates must possess a strong passion for technology and the ability to adaptively self-learn new technologies in response to the constant innovation in the information technology sector.
A strong knowledge of a vast number of technologies is required to ensure the successful candidate can put together the right solution to meet our customers' requirements and proactively identify improvements within our customer's information systems.
The role will be customer facing and as such the successful candidate will need to maintain a high level of professionalism at all times, portray confidence and possess strong presentation skills.
Skillsets Required Successful candidates will be skilled in the following areas: Desktop Deployment: Operating System SOE Image creation, software distribution and patch management.
Strong skillsets in SCCM are desirable including SCCM architecture design, implementation and configuration.
Active Directory: Implementation, configuration and maintenance tasks surrounding Active Directory including experience in multi-domain, multi-forest topologies.
Experience with Active Directory domain migration with Active Directory Migration Tool or Quest Migrator will be highly regarded.
Microsoft Exchange: Experience performing Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013 migrations.
Experience with Database Availability Groups and Exchange Clustering and Disaster Recovery architectures will be highly regarded.
Virtualisation: Experience deploying and configuring VMware HA environments equipped with v Centre, Shared Storage and VMotion.
Candidates will be required to understand configuration of management networks, vmotion networks, data networks and storage networks to architect and implement complete end to end virtualisation solutions for our customers.
SQL Server: Experience with deploying and configuring Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience with SQL High Availability and Disaster Recovery technologies such as Always On, Database Mirroring, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping and SQL replication will be highly regarded.
Remote Desktop Services: Deployment and Configuration of Remote Desktop Services on 2008 R2 and 2012 R2.
Experience with Citrix and Xen App will be highly regarded.
AD Rights Management Services: Experience deploying and configuring AD Rights Management Services (AD RMS) in an enterprise environment will be highly regarded.
Networking: A firm understanding of IP Routing and Switching in corporate network design is essential.
Backup Solutions: Experience designing, implementing and maintaining solutions backup utilising Symantec Backup Exec 2014, Veeam Backup and Replication, Symantec Net Backup and Microsoft Data Protection Manager is highly regarded.
In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate must also possess strong documentation skills for producing proposals, project plans, design documents and detailed "As Built" documentation.
Qualifications The following certifications will be highly regarded: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Server Infrastructure and Messaging.
All other MCSE certifications will be highly regarded.
Other industry certifications will be highly regarded including but not limited to hardware vendor certification, Comp TIA certifications, networking certifications etc.
