What You'll be doing:
The role is based at Cameron Park at the Hunter Area Command Office. The Hunter Area Command provides support to our five District Offices with key specialist functions of People & Business, Community Risk and Capability.
The Support Officer provides a key opportunity for the successful candidate to gain key experience and exposure to a wide range of activities within the NSW RFS. The role provides a range of support services in both an administrative and operational capacity within the Area Command. Supporting the Capability team by responding to enquiries, maintaining records and relevant internal systems, adherence to policy in purchasing and inventory, and delivering a high standard of customer service to our customers in order to support our teams to protect the community.
Balancing multiple tasks with competing demands whilst supporting the Capability team's projects and programs will be a key challenge for this role.
To thrive in this role, you will:

Provide high levels of customer service to internal and external customers and communicate effectively across all levels
Possess an understanding of volunteer and community engagement
Show initiative, multi-task and prioritise workloads
Take initiative and support the team to achieve business goals
Be proficient in technology, in particular Microsoft Office Suite
Adapt to changing situations and respond quickly
