An Opportunity is now available for a Supply Chain Lead Specialist who wants to be part of something big. The position is required for the CAF23 Capability Steward program which will be responsible for undertaking functions on behalf of the Surveillance and Control System Program Office (S&CSPO) including financial planning, task management, system capability roadmap development and reporting.
The Supply Chain Lead Specialist controls the flow of goods, services, and information from origin through delivery in order to meet program requirements. This role is responsible for input to logistics support strategies in capture phase pertinent to function and/or logistics specialty and achieving Supply Chain goals with significant impact on program results.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for making adjustments or recommending enhancements in systems and processes to solve complex Supply Chain problems and improve effectiveness of support to the program.
Identifies, defines and addresses problems that are not immediately evident but are typically complex, difficult to resolve and would normally cause serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.
Recognised expert within Supply Chain and requires advanced knowledge within several Supply Chain disciplines typically gained through extensive work experience and/or further education.
Supply support design, planning and analysis for warehousing, inventory management and freight & distribution applications.
Warehouse and Stores management including storage, stock control, accounting, packaging, handling and transportation of items of supply.
Skills Experience and QualificationsWarehousing procedures including storage, stock control, accounting, packaging, handling and transportation of items of supply.
Knowledge of Inventory management systems and procedures.
Demonstrates the ability to work autonomously under broad direction and to anticipate and meet program needs.
Works to influence within and outside of the Supply Chain function at an operational level regarding policies, practices and procedures.
Bachelor degree in Management, Logistics or Supply Chain or equivalent work experience. Minimum 4 years advanced Supply Chain experience.
Applicants must be able to obtain, and maintain a baseline security clearance from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) with no foreseeable impediment for upgrade to Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1).
