About the role:
Prepare and implement Safe Work Method Statements and Task Hazard Review Cards. Coach workforce to ensure implementation of WHS requirements. Participate in planning future requirements including machine tools, ancillary equipment, major plant and labour. Plan and monitor works to ensure compliance with relevant WHS, Environmental and Quality procedures and specifications. Work with Engineers to develop effective construction programs. Ability to develop a short-term section/trade program, including resource allocation. Conduct effective team and subcontractor meetings (such as pre-starts, toolbox talks, zone, construction planning, etc). Maintains effective 'white board' or similar for upcoming works. The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
Recognised skills in managing Work Health and Safety and Environmental legislative and procedural requirements. Good oral and written communication, including the ability to deliver meaningful and engaging pre-starts and toolbox talks. Working knowledge of Quality, IR, HR and other relevant legislation, standards and Company policies and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
