An innovative leader within Queensland's Insurance Construction industry and well established company for over 24 years.
Specialise in repairs and builds to domestic and commercial property damage through insurable events such as fire, storm, flood, impact and malicious damage.
About the Role Due to the recent flooding event in far north QLD, an Estimator/Supervisor is required to work remotely from the Cairns region on a 6 MONTH CONTRACT with the option to extend periodically.
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced person to join our dynamic team.
The Estimator/Supervisor is responsible for the review and control of costings, scoping, building methodology and contractor allocation for each job.
Working closely with the Watermark Project Co-ordination, internal trade and contractor network teams, you will be responsible for all pre-construction tasks as well as trade procurement and allocation within your allocated area.
The Estimator/Supervisor works closely with the claims staff to ensure jobs are completed on budget and trades staff and contractors are performing to KPI requirements.
Key activities (include but are not limited to the following): Customer service phone calls and emails from clients, tradespeople and suppliers.Estimating and providing building assessments on insurance damage.Manage allocated job files for small to medium sized repairs.Point of contact for both internal and external clients for trade allocation.Provide an accurate schedule and scope of repair.Monitoring budgets and cost control for every assigned file.Report management.Online system management.Due to our business being heavily weather-related and linked closely to major insurable events, travel is occasionally required as part of the role during these event times.
Estimating experience in major loss insurance building is highly desirable for this role.
Essential attributes are a passion for attention to detail and quality work with quick turnover times.
Our ideal candidate will have: A strong, collaborative work ethic.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a relaxed and conversational style.Sound current and practical home building knowledge in the home renovation space with a broad understanding of different housing styles, materials and finishes.The proven ability to work unsupervised with great organisational skills.Computer literate and sound ability to use mobile technologies; Prime Ecosystem experience is desirable.For further information please go to: www.watermarkconstructions.com.au Only suitable candidates will be contacted.
