Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.About the role:Peabody is seeking a Production Superintendent to join our open-cut mine at Coppabella Moorvale Mine Complex (CMJV).In this key role, you will collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to lead the Mining operations team, including OCE/Supervisors and operational personnel.
This busy role requires a structured approach, with an emphasis on training and developing Supervisors to empower sound decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Set and demonstrate high Safety, Health, and Environmental standardsProvide strong leadership to foster a high-performance cultureOversee and coordinate Dragline, drill, and blast activitiesCollaborate with Maintenance to meet operational targetsReport daily production data, coordinate end-of-month data, perform reconciliations, and monitor costs to ensure budgets are metMaintain productive, collaborative relationships across disciplinesForecast resource needs to achieve future production targetsBenchmark results, processes, and strategies industry-wideEmbrace Continuous Improvement strategies to enhance safety, performance, productivity, and job satisfactionThe lifestyle:This position offers a 9-day fortnight roster (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) with DIDO or FIFO options.
