About the role : The Subcontract Specialist plays a critical role in managing all subcontracting activities for the project, from procurement through to performance tracking and compliance.
This role ensures that subcontractors meet all contractual obligations, timelines and budget requirements, supporting the project's successful completion.
Your responsibilities will include : Negotiation of Subcontract Terms: Negotiate subcontract terms including price, scope of work, timelines, payment terms, and performance requirements to align with both project and company objectives.Contract Drafting and Amendments: Draft, review, and manage subcontract agreements, including amendments, extensions, and modifications.Centralized Contract Management: Maintain a centralised, accessible database of all subcontract agreements, amendments, and correspondence, supporting efficient tracking and reference throughout the project lifecycle.Performance Monitoring and Compliance: Monitor subcontractor performance closely to ensure adherence to contractual terms, project schedules, and quality standards. Address any performance issues promptly and implement corrective actions when necessary.Primary Subcontractor Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for subcontractors, managing communications and promptly addressing issues or concerns that arise during the project to maintain alignment with project goals.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align subcontractor work with project requirements and schedules, fostering a collaborative environment.Ongoing Project Support: Provide proactive support to project teams to resolve subcontract-related issues such as delays, performance deficiencies, or contract modifications, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines.Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all subcontractors comply with company policies, legal regulations, and safety standards throughout the project. Conduct risk assessments of subcontractor performance and implement mitigation strategies as needed.Documentation and Record Maintenance: Monitor subcontractor insurance, bonding, and other compliance-related documentation to ensure regulatory and contractual adherence. Maintain organized records of all subcontract negotiations, agreements, changes, and communications for easy access during audits.Subcontractor Progress Tracking: Track subcontractor progress and performance, verifying that work is completed on schedule, within budget, and meets quality expectations. Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy, ensuring payment terms and conditions are satisfied before approval.Other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed.About You : Our ideal candidate will possess a Tertiary Degree and have experience within complex project environments, particularly Oil and Gas, Energy, EPC, infrastructure.
