About the Role:
Based at our Perth office, we are currently seeking suitably qualified and energetic Structural Engineer who can also take on both project and technical engineering responsibilities.
The Structural Engineer will work closely with clients, engineering colleagues, project managers and cross functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Ideally you will have at least 10 years' previous Structural Engineering experience in the Gas and Energy sector, and experience on facilities construction projects, major EPC projects and/or Infrastructure projects will be advantageous.
We are looking for someone who has experience working through all cycles of a project from design into commissioning and handover.
The right candidate will have experience leading and mentoring junior engineers.
To be successful, you will preferably have experience with elements of the following in the Australian project environment:
Structural Design and AnalysisDevelop and verify structural designs for gas and energy installations, including pipelines, onshore facilities, and support structures.Prepare clear and detailed structural analysis reports, drawings, and specifications that meet client and regulatory requirements.Review and approve structural engineering calculations and drawings for accuracy and adherence to project requirements.Collaborate with project managers, drafters, and other engineers to ensure the timely and accurate completion of project deliverables.Preparation, submission, and evaluation of tender packages, bids, and proposals.Vendor package management and expediting.Attend internal and external project meetings as required to support project management and discipline lead.Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and design reviews.Complete engineering tasks within the allocated timeframe to the specified quality level.Provide technical engineering advice and support.Liaison with clients and suppliers.Essential Qualities and Background: Degree qualified engineer with minimum of 4 years post graduate experience in an aligned industry.Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar.Experience working for construction contractor or EPCM consultancy.Experience in engineering of steel and concrete structures.Proven technical capability and commercial acumen.Experience of managing and delivering projects within timeframes and budget.Familiarity with risk management practices and safety protocols in high-stakes environments.Relationship management, conflict management and resolution and problem-solving experience.Strong computer literacy skills with knowledge of MS applications.Experience with Spacegass essential.Adaptability to be able to work directly from client's offices representing Enscope when needed.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal & external stakeholders.Enscope works in all States of Australia so candidates must be willing to travel to our construction sites and client offices, both in Queensland and interstate to represent the Company on occasion.
Working from our client's offices in secondee type roles can also be required from time to time.
